Many people that dabble in the domain name market often find themselves having domain names that are unused. They haven’t sold yet and they aren’t developed either, they usually end up parking these names hoping to make a little income from a pay per click program. Another great way to get traffic to and possibly make money off of an unused domain is to start an online forum on it and build it around a narrow niche that it could attract traffic to.
When using this method of domain monetization, it is best if general subjects are steered clear of. Don’t start a forum about sports, start one about college baseball. Don’t start a forum for teachers, start a forum for kindergarten teachers. The idea is to pick a niche narrow enough that there is little competition.
