In what many would say is an odd action by a government with a reputation for not treating it’s citizens particularly well, China has made available through media outlets an online forum to interact with it’s people. Chinese citizens can now voice their public concerns. One of the first revelations to come from this of discussion was finding out what the general populations biggest concerns are. It seems that their number one concern is for housing for low income people. That is yet another way that the situation in China is not really that different than the situations in other countries around the world.

The unspoken part of this is that this appears to be a sign that China is opening up even more in the area of free speech… and they’re using online forums to do it.
