Canadian College Threatens Student With Expulsion For Questionable Forum Use
There is a lot of talk about how some students at Ryerson College have used an online forum to “collaborate” on homework. While certain school administrators approve of group learning, they’re also concerned about the appropriateness of students joint collaboration when they should be exhibiting their own work. Now, at Ryerson there is one first year student whose college career hangs in the balance following a hearing on whether he should be expelled. The outcome of this case may affect many students around the world as this appears to be a popular way of studying.
