When people think of travel forums they usually think of forums dedicated to either cheap airfare and hotel stays, or a forum that is divided up regionally and setup to discuss the attractions and must see sites in given places. Well, fresh from this article on alternative travel methods that people are using due to the high cost of fuel this year, comes news of another forum’s existence. The forum is called DigiHitch and is a online meeting place for a group of people that were much more plentiful and accepted decades ago… hitchhikers. While most law enforcement agencies recommend against hitchhiking, both from the perspective of the hitchhiker and the person picking the hitchhiker up, there still appears to be an active community of hitchhikers out there.
